Charak Child Care Clinics are an exclusive OPD clinic for children serving the needs of the tricity of Mohali, Chandigarh & Panchkula since late 2002. Dr. Gaurav Gupta is the Consultant Paediatrician-in-charge & is committed to early disease diagnosis & treatment and prevention of serious illness in children using a thorough systematic approach. He believes strongly that proper diet, exercise & lifestyle issues are crucial to a child’s well being.
Among some of our unique features are updated Medical News, a forum for discussing common parenting problems with fellow parents and specialists, & Dr. Gaurav’s opinion on topical pediatric issues through his blogs. Patient education regarding chronic states such as asthma, allergies, obesity and diabetes is the cornerstone of management of these diseases. When medications are necessary, proper instruction on the use of such medication is provided and reviewed during every visit.
Dr. Gaurav Gupta prescribes antibiotics with caution and only when absolutely necessary and appropriate for bacterial infections. The common cold or other viral illnesses can not be successfully treated using antibiotics.
